Actions and qualities: Reduces swelling, cooling, helps heal wounds and stops mild bleeding, reduces sore throat, antiviral, used to treat ulcers, and used to aid in allergy support.

Specific uses: A tea can be used to treat sore throats or ulcers. It is great topically in salves, oils, poultices, and baths. It can also be made into a tincture or taken internally by capsule.

Contraindications: In large amounts it has some possibility of interfering with blood thinning medication. Pregnant and nursing mothers should consult a doctor before use.
