Arnica-Infused Oil

Wildcrafted and sun-infused Arnica (Arnica montana) in coconut oil, jojoba oil, or a mixture of coconut and avocado oil. Certified Organic with no chemicals used. Cultivated, harvested, and processed by hand.

Actions and qualities: Pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, and antibiotic. It is most notably used to treat injuries like sprains and bruises, thanks to its ability to control swelling and reduce pain. It is also used to treat arthritis. 

Specific uses: Topical applications can come in the form of a salve, poultice, or oil. It can also be ingested with caution when highly diluted, in a capsule or tincture.

Contraindications: Must be diluted to be safely ingested; do not consume in large doses due to its known toxicity. Should be avoided by persons with allergies to flowers in the Asteraceae (daisy) family. Pregnant and nursing mothers should consult a physician before use.

History and lore: Supposedly Shakespeare drank Arnica tea when recovering from a heart attack. Arnica is commonly associated with protection.
